He first rose to global attention in 2004 with his groundbreaking book "The Faith of George W. Bush," a bestseller that Time magazine credited with helping to shape the 2004 US presidential election. The book was a source for Oliver Stone’s award-winning film “W.”  This groundbreaking book led to a string of influential works over the next two decades. Mansfield wrote noted studies of American soldiers at war, Barack Obama, Abraham Lincoln, the Guinness brewing company, Pope Benedict XVI, Winston Churchill, Jesus Christ, Oprah Winfrey, the Kurds, and modern men. Mansfield’s 2008 "The Faith of Barack Obama" was another international bestseller.In May 2021, Stephen was named a Senior Fellow of Public Leadership at Palm Beach Atlantic University where he teaches and coaches current and future leaders.
