George SinclairMessiah DowntownDate: 19th February 2023Passage: Mark 14:43-52------------------- It is because Jesus did not betray love and justice that betrayers and the betrayed can be made right with the Triune God. When you are betrayed and mocked, you can pour out your sorrows and your fears to the one who knows the full sting of being mocked and betrayed - Jesus. When you put your trust in Jesus to be your Saviour and Lord, He saves you from "the people of the lie," and makes you a citizen of His realm of truth. When Jesus died, it was the Humble One dying for the proud, the Faithful One dying for the betrayers, the Truth Himself dying for the followers of the lie. Prayers A. Ask the Lord to make the gospel so real to your heart, that in every facet of your life, you will recognize and reject lies. B. Ask the Lord to make the gospel so real to your heart, that in every facet of your life, you will seek to humbly know the truth, believe the truth, and speak the truth. C. Ask the Lord to make the gospel so real to your heart, that you will stop flattering yourself too much to detect or hate your own sin. D. Ask the Lord to make the gospel so real to your heart, that you will not be so quick to condemn the weakness and failures of others.
