Better

In this sermon, we're challenged to confront our mortality and live life 'backward' - with the end in mind. Pastor Snook's text for this episode is Ecclesiastes 7.The key message revolves around the wisdom of embracing life's difficult moments as opportunities for growth. Solomon's proverbs remind us that the path of wisdom often involves choosing the harder, longer road over quick fixes and shallow pleasures. We're encouraged to value a good name over fleeting pleasures, to seek wisdom through life's challenges, and to maintain an eternal perspective. This sermon invites us to reflect on how we're building our legacy - are we leaving behind a fragrant memory or a stench? By facing the reality of death, we're paradoxically empowered to live more fully, wisely, and generously in the present.
