Michele Abo joined Kayco in August 2024 as General Manager of their Beyond Division overseeing the Dorot Gardens, Mighty Sesame, Wonder Juice, Absolutely Gluten Free, and Beetology brands. Ms. Abo comes to Kayco with over 30 years of executive, commercial, marketing and operations leadership experience in the consumer products industry. In these roles, she has been responsible for building brands, developing and executing strategic commercial, marketing, and operating plans, and overall general management of a number of organizations. Prior to joining Kayco, Michele’s was General Manager/Area Vice President of Friendly’s Ice Cream, CEO of Finlay’s Extracts and Ingredients, Chief Sales Officer of Lavazza Coffee, and Chief Sales Officer of Barrie House Coffee. She also spent several years in private equity with three portfolio companies-Stella D’oro (President), Balance Bar (COO) and Ian’s Foods (CEO). Michele began her career with PepsiCo/Frito-Lay as regional director of marketing/zone sales leader, followed by George Weston Bakeries/Entenmann’s as Vice President of Sales. Michele holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University. She is a native of New York City, currently residing in New Rochelle, NY.
