Better Podcasting #171 - Podcasting Ethics

from Better Podcasting

Many industries have a code of ethics established for their industry, but Podcasting doesn't have anything formally established. In this episode we discuss some things that we've seen over the years (and some things that we've had conversations with other podcasters) that might be a consideration when discussing Podcasting Ethics. Our segment isn't intended to suggest podcasting ethics (that's well beyond our control), but just to highlight some of the things that we've seen happening in podcasting that we feel you should be aware of, and how it can impact you as a podcaster. In this week's Better Podcasting Download, we follow-up to last week's discussion about Apple and title tags as Apple sent out two more emails after we recorded the previous email. To be clear - in Apple's 2nd and 3rd emails, they have changed their position and clearly stated "Your Show Won’t Be Removed for Having Episode Numbers in Episode Titles"(woo hoo!) We also discuss Stephen's interaction with the Rodecaster Pro 1.10 Firmware update and how it's not a multi-track recorder. Finally, in the Better Podback we discuss our Discord channel's reaction to the Rodecaster Pro not delivering multi-track recording.
