Between God and His People

Have you ever watched a parent at the park addressing poor behavior from their child? Even though that interaction may have only lasted a moment or two, when it was over you had a much more intimate knowledge of how that relationship works, both by their own behavior and by the way their child responded to their correction. How a parent interacts with an errant child tells us a lot more about that parent and their values than it does about the child and their faults.Today let’s dive into a similar relationship, that which exists between God and his chosen people. In Romans 10, Paul highlights how God has and is disciplining his people the Isrealites. God’s deep love for his people means that the things that they are disciplined for reflect directly on what is against God’s character and the health and safety of the people that he loves so dearly.
