Beyond Communication

Recorded on March 20th, 2023, this episode of Off The Script centers on one word that keeps coming up again and again: communication. Darrell shares another update about his job and the ongoing issues tied to poor communication, but this conversation makes it clear that the problem goes deeper than that. At a certain point, it stops being just a communication problem and becomes a micromanagement problem. When people are only talking without making sure others know what has already been done, it creates confusion, wasted effort, and frustration all over again. This episode digs into the trust issues behind that kind of environment—when communication is incomplete, repeated work becomes normal, and people are left feeling like their time and effort do not matter. Darrell also shares an update on the official date of the job being dissolved. Darren gives his own update as well, including something he had never told Darrell during an off-the-record conversation. This is a deeper discussion about trust, communication, micromanagement, and the damage that happens when people are not kept fully in the loop.
