John Canzano is in talking about Cooper Lutkenhaus setting a world record for the 800 meter for a male under 18 years old. Canzano wonders if it was the best high school performance ever and what some of the other best performances are by young athletes. Later Canzano talks about Sports Business Journal's article about Jody Allen, which puts Jody in a very positive light. Brian Berger of Sports Business Radio joins the program to discuss the new piece written by Sports Business Journal about Jody Allen. In the piece, it says that Jody Allen had a huge part in decision-making for the Trail Blazers, and Berger, who worked for the Blazers, says that most of the piece is false and says that Allen had very little with the construction of the Moda Center and much more. Berger thinks that Jody Allen and Bert Kolde don't care about Portland at all, and could see a new owner coming in and wanting to move the Blazers out of Portland. Berger thinks that the Trail Blazers need Adam Silver to step in and make sure that the Blazers stay in Portland. Editor-in-chief of DyeStat's, Doug Binder, joins the program to discuss the US Championships in Eugene, including Cooper Lutkenhaus' performance in the 800-meter. Binder talks about the actual race and the discussion heading into the race. Binder says that most people thought that Lutkenhaus could finish sixth at best, but he finished third. Binder talks about how he thinks Lutkenhaus will perform in the World Championships. Binder talks about Hayward Field and what the experience was like, including what could be improved.
