Canzano questions what the impact of Texas State coming to the Pac-12 will be, and if it is a good move or not to invite a school from Texas to join the conference. Hummer is referring to the new contracts that schools like Florida State are using, which will lock players into contracts for multiple years with buyout clauses. Hummer talks about some of the highly unusual language that is in contracts they are offering players and how it is hurting and helping Florida State in different situations. Hummer discusses the idea of having only one transfer portal window. Former Sun Belt and WAC commissioner Karl Benson joins the show to discuss Texas State leaving the Sun Belt for the Pac-12 conference. Benson thinks this is a great move by Texas State to get into the conference. Benson also thinks that Texas State could pay off for the Pac-12 and calls Texas State a potential Boise State on the football field. Benson says that he is surprised that the Pac-12 went the route of getting Texas State in the conference after other options to join the conference went away.
