Finance Minister Nicola Willis has done a conservative lift of the lid on her 30 May Budget at a speech to the Hutt Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, giving a glimpse of what to expect. The controversial Treaty Principles Bill is now at the centre of an urgent inquiry by the Waitangi Tribunal. The ACT Party policy proposes a new definition for the Treaty of Waitangi and there has been heated backlash.
