Justice Minister Paul Goldsmith said his feedback on an early draft of the National Action Plan Against Racism was only that it should focus on racism against all groups as all racism was unacceptable, and it did not negate the voice of Māori. Labour’s Kieran McAnulty told Breakfast the Government’s 36-point plan reminded him of “that old cliché” of making a list of things to do where “the first thing on the list is to make a list” and you can tick it off and say “well I’ve made a good start”.
