A group of licensed Māori translators are speaking out about an upcoming Bill they say seeks to embed in law a factually incorrect and deeply misleading interpretation of te Tiriti o Waitangi. One of the signatories, and a spokesperson for the group, Melanie Nelson joins us to talk about the open letter. Three News is reporting that police officers are threatening to quit en masse following the conclusion of protracted pay negotiations going the way of the Government. The final arbitration ruling was released on Monday and will see police officers accept a $5000 pay rise backdated to November, along with a $1500 lump sum payment to be paid by the end of the month.
