Bible Study- The Gospel According to Luke EP 09 Chpt 4: 14-30

My name is Ryan and I am a Bible Nerd! We continue in Luke's Gospel in Chpt 4 verses 14-30.  In this section, Jesus is reading from the scroll of Isaiah in the synagogue.  Jesus is reading what we call Chapter 61.  Here is a great video that Bible Project has about this section of Isaiah that is very helpful!  https://bibleproject.com/explore/video/isaiah-61/ This will help you understand what an incredible statement Jesus says in verse 21 that the passage of scripture is fulfilled.  Their first response is questioning who Jesus is, as they have known him since birth.  Let's study this section together in today's episode!
