Much of the church has said that the earthly things in Genesis can be incorrect while the rest of the spiritual truths in Scripture can be trusted. Jesus doesn’t give us that luxury and says it ultimately amounts to a contradiction. “If I have told you about things that happen on earth and you don’t believe, how will you believe if I tell you about things of heaven?” John 3:12.
