READ: 1 Timothy 5:24-25If you work and have someone whom you answer to, you must, like a slave, honor all, especially those who are brothers, so that no one reviles the faith. “Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.” - Romans 12:10- 1 Timothy 6:1-2 - “Let all who are under a yoke as bondservants regard their own masters as worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and the teaching may not be reviled. 2 Those who have believing masters must not be disrespectful on the ground that they are brothers; rather they must serve all the better since those who benefit by their good service are believers and beloved. Teach and urge these things.”Godly men do what we do not for our sake but for yours, that you may grow in the full knowledge of our Savior King. “For we are not, like so many, peddlers of God's word, but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.” - 2 Corinthians 2:17- 1 Timothy 6:3-5 - “If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words (hygiano logos: true and incorrupt doctrine) of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, (doctrines that promote Christ-likeness) 4 he is puffed up with conceit (too-fa-o: to render foolish or stupid) and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving (nos-eh-o: an ailment of the mind, morbid fondness for) for controversy and for quarrels about words, (trivial and empty things) which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions, 5 and constant friction among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain.”We came into this world with nothing, we will leave it the same way. The lack of contentment breeds failure in a Christian's life. “Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. 13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” - Philippians 4:11-13- 1 Timothy 6:6-10 - “But godliness with contentment (ouw-tar-ki-ah: sufficiency of Christ in life) is great gain, 7 for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. 8 But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. 9 But those who desire (to have an affection) to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, (pag-ece: allurements and seductions of sin) into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge (to sink into the deep) people into ruin (death) and destruction. (perish with misery) 10 For the love of money is a root (riza: cause, origin, source) of all kinds of evils. (crime, breaking of divine or human law) It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.” (all-consuming pain, sorrow)
