He dismissed it — until 2019, when he actually traveled to Zimbabwe with his family just as COVID-19 emerged, was providentially pushed onto one of the last flights out before borders closed, and ended up stranded with his wife and daughter in South Africa for five weeks, staying — by what he describes as God's precise timing — just 20 minutes from the Australian Embassy that eventually became the evacuation meeting point. As soon as the dream came true, it stopped.
