Mark continued with The Story on the Road to Emmaus (Luke 24 series).Today’s lesson continued with a focus on what the Bible says about the Ark of the Covenant and what it means to us. Mark structured the lesson as a three-piece puzzle: 1. Understanding the 3 pieces of the Ark of the Covenant—The chest containing the 10 Commandments, the Covenant, and the Mercy Seat. 2. A Review of key concepts: 1) everyone living under the law has an insurmountable problem; no one can live up to the Law perfectly. 2) Atonement for sin is through blood. 3) Jesus became our atonement. 3.Lessons to learn: 1) God meets everyone at the mercy seat. 2) We should follow God in life through Jesus. 3) All things are possible in the presence of God. 4) Take the Lord into battle and the victories in life belong to the Lord. 5) Only the true God rescues us from sin.
