Big Bear City rolls out new recycling carts, thanks to an investment from the beverage industry

from North American Network

Big Bear City’s “Community-Services District” is rolling out new recycling-carts, for 12-thousand households—as it launches an expanded collection-service. That’s thanks to an investment from an initiative that aims to reduce the beverage-industry’s plastic-footprint. Rick Rivas is the vice-president for California, at the “American Beverage Association”… “America’s leading beverage-companies—including ‘The Coca-Cola Company’, ‘Keurig/Doctor Pepper’, and ‘Pepsi-Co’—are excited to partner with the community of Big Bear [City], to make recycling easier. We’re providing free, upgraded curbside-recycling carts—which are funded by our nationwide ‘Every Bottle Back’-initiative—to help keep plastic-waste far away from California’s beautiful lakes and natural-spaces. Our plastic-bottles are 100-percent recyclable. So, when you put a bottle in a cart, it’ll be made into a new bottle—as intended—meaning less new plastic-waste in the environment.” For more about the new carts, visit “b-b-c-c-s-d”-dot-org.
