Big Drama
from Unity Church of Clearwater
Adapted from The Thought Exchange, by David Friedman (pp. 358-62) Life is like a play: when I am in it, I can’t step out of it. All the drama of my life is “part of the story,” and the difficult parts, even when I feel stuck or betrayed, are there to lead up to the triumph. Through all the drama, like Joseph, no matter what others do for me or to me, I remember that I am in this part to learn and grow. I ask myself, “What play am I in?” I decide that I am not appearing in a tragedy. I am starring in the play where I succeed and where God shows up! Whatever happens in my “play” turns out to be the perfect circumstance to bring forth the highest outcome for all concerned. In Big Drama, even trouble is a gift!
