Big Worm by GLB (Debut single)

Our club member Wes Brooks' first heavy metal jam. (big worm… big worm…) [Verse 1] Gavel cracks He grins Steps in Calloused hands Ink-stained skin Grease-streaked cap Eyes like rust Every crate He smells the dust He lifts once Whole room holds breath He lifts twice Signs their debt [Chorus] Big Worm King of lots (big worm!) Feeding on your bankrupt plots Bid by bid Your world consumed All your history in his tomb Big Worm Stacking steel He bites down on every deal You go home with empty palms He goes home to bursting barns [Verse 2] Number card Tattooed fist Mumbled code Auction list Panel vans Creaking seams Full of junk Full of dreams You brought hope He brought cash You brought need He brought wrath [Chorus] Big Worm King of lots (big worm!) Feeding on your bankrupt plots Bid by bid Your world consumed All your history in his tomb Big Worm Stacking steel He bites down on every deal You go home with empty palms He goes home to bursting barns [Bridge] [blast beats erupt Guitars in frantic tremolo] Rotting barns Crumbling tins All your ghosts Locked within He hoards loss Like sacred bone Grinds your past To feed his throne [Chorus] Big Worm King of lots (big worm!) Feeding on your bankrupt plots Bid by bid Your world consumed All your history in his tomb Big Worm Stacking steel He bites down on every deal You go home with empty palms He goes home to bursting barns (big worm!)
