An alumnus of the prestigious Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute in Kolkata, Bijitesh has lensed over 500 ads, web series, Bollywood movies and several music videos.Bijitesh first talked about the differences in the purpose and creative approach between Bollywood films and commercial ads. He explained that Bollywood films offer a lot of freedom in terms of being creative, while in commercial ads he usually needs to stick to specific brand rules. However, some brands are open to trying new things and give him and his team a chance to be involved more creatively in those ad projects.Bijitesh explained the importance of emotional connection in advertising and the differences between working with established brands versus new brands.The conversation delved into the impact of technology and AI on filmmaking. While acknowledging their role in enhancing the creative process, Bijitesh emphasized that these tools cannot replace the essence of human creativity and storytelling.Finally, Bijitesh discussed the shift from TV ads to online advertising.
