Bill 101 criticized as “disaster” for students with disabilities

May 1, 2026 -- Ceremony, a documentary directed by Nuxalk filmmaker Banchi Hanuse, had its Canadian premiere at Hot Docs, one of North America’s largest documentary festivals. Portley Ghartey-Joshnson speaks with Qwaxw Siwallace, who appears in the film, about the significance of bringing Ceremony to Hot Docs, and the broader importance of Indigenous storytelling.
