In 2006, Hanney purchased and revitalized Theatre By The Sea, the historic 500-seat summer theatre and restaurant in Matunuck, Rhode Island. His leadership restored the venue and re-established it as a popular destination for high-quality performances. Hanney is also the Owner and Producer of North Shore Music Theatre, one of New England's leading regional theatres.
