Bill Maher pulls off big win in Laura Loomer lawsuit

 A federal judge handed a decisive legal win to Bill Maher and HBO, dismissing a defamation lawsuit filed by far-right activist Laura Loomer that sought more than $150 million in damages. In a statement to CNN, Loomer called the ruling "factually and legally wrong," arguing Maher's comment was "no joke" and describing the decision as "totally dishonest and misogynistic." On malice, the judge noted Maher testified he "had no reason to doubt" a Trump-Loomer affair, citing Trump's reported past affairs, their public closeness and Loomer's own comments about him. The court also dismissed Loomer's damages claim, writing she "has not identified a single individual who believed that she was sleeping with President Trump because of the episode or a single relationship that was damaged as a result of the episode."
