Bill To Expand Thompson Divide Into Gunnison County; Protect From Oil & Gas

The Thompson Divide Protection Bill, introduced by Senator Michael Bennet, aims to expand the recognized Thompson Divide area deep into Gunnison County and would protect the land from oil and gas development indefinitely. The bill has bi-partisan support, including from neighboring counties, Gunnison Energy (and oil and gas developer who works in the area), and environmental groups.
