Bills Observations: Ready To Raise Bar For Matt Milano

from Talking Buffalo · host patrick moran

On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran has several observations after taking in Buffalo Bills training camp practice again on Monday, including feel confident enough that it's OK to raise back up the expectations of linebacker Matt Milano to the level they were a few years ago.To say it was hot and steamy at St. John Fisher on Tuesday for practice was an understatement. In fact, Patrick admits to barely making it through practice before bailing for some shade, of which there was zero of all morning long. But he persevered and stuck around for all of practice, the first with pads on of the summer and he's got several takeaways from it. At the top is the play of Milano, who's had a really (really) strong camp and right now looks very much like the former All-Pro he was a few years ago before the injury. Provided he can stay healthy Patrick think it's OK for fans and the media to put the lofty expectations back on him--he looks that good. There were other players Patrick was impressed with on Tuesday that he talks about, including Damar Hamlin (yes, Damar Hamlin), Josh Palmer, James Cook and to no one's surprise, Christian Benford. On the side of the things to be less enthusiastic about, injuries are becoming a factor for the Bills at training camp and now it's Dalton Kincaid who was out with knee soreness, the same left knee that hampered his sophomore campaign last season.Patrick also has takes on Keon Coleman looking like he's ready to be more reliable, Tre White not really being tested yet, a quiet start for pass rush specialist Javon Solomon and much more. The Talking Buffalo online merch store is now live!
