Bills Summer Studs & Duds So Far (Part 1)

from Talking Buffalo · host patrick moran, matt warren

Patrick Moran is joined by Matt Warren of Buffalo Rumblings and SB Nation to evaluate the biggest Buffalo Bills studs and duds of 2026 training camp in the first of a two part conversation. Before diving into the roster, Patrick and Matt share their impressions of the new Highmark Stadium following the Return of the Blue & Red practice. They discuss the stadium’s intimate atmosphere, seating concerns, video boards, concessions and why much of the online criticism may be overblown. On the field, the Bills’ revamped passing attack has generated plenty of excitement. DJ Moore already looks like a legitimate No. 1 receiver, displaying strong chemistry with Josh Allen and the ability to make contested catches. Healthy versions of Josh Palmer and Dalton Kincaid have also stood out. The outlook is less encouraging at cornerback and safety. Max Hairston, rookie Davison Igbinosun and Cole Bishop have experienced uneven summers, while injuries throughout Buffalo’s secondary have created additional uncertainty. Patrick and Matt explain why the defense may need time to find its footing once the regular season begins. Key Takeaways DJ Moore looks like the real deal, emerging as Josh Allen’s potential go-to target in critical situations. Josh Palmer appears healthy and productive, strengthening his position among Buffalo’s top four wide receivers. Dalton Kincaid continues to make difficult catches look effortless, with durability remaining the biggest question. Buffalo’s second cornerback position is a concern, as Max Hairston and Davison Igbinosun have yet to separate themselves. Cole Bishop has looked rusty, but his adjustment to a significantly different defensive system provides important context. The new Highmark Stadium experience was largely positive, despite online criticism concerning sightlines, concessions and the video boards. The Talking Buffalo online merch store is now live!
