Binding the Butter Thief

In this heartfelt continuation of last class, Rasikananda Swami (affectionately known as Rasik Maharaja) explores the profound sweetness of Sri Krishna’s Damodara-lila, revealing how Mother Yasoda’s love alone could catch and bind the Supreme Lord, not by power, but by the force of pure devotion. Moving through Krishna’s playful butter-stealing pastimes, His charming exchanges with the birds, monkeys, and gopas, and finally the deliverance of the twin Yamala-arjuna trees, Maharaja draws out the deeper spiritual meaning of the pastime: that Krishna is conquered only by unalloyed love, and that even apparent punishment from saintly souls or the Lord is ultimately divine mercy meant to awaken liberation and prema. This class was recorded at Bhakta Bandhav Dham in Ellenville, NY on April 7, 2026.
