Directed by David Wain, the film casts Ben-Adir alongside Rob Morgan, René Pérez Joglar, Rosalind Eleazar, and Indira Varma in a story where a Midwestern bride-to-be navigates her fiancés celebrity free pass gone awry—a project with serious awards buzz potential given Sundances track record for launching careers. This comes hot on the heels of ComicBook.com spotlighting his pivotal turn as detective Karim Washington in The OA on March 22, revisiting the Netflix cult hits cancellation seven years ago and fueling fan campaigns with recent teases from castmates like Jason Isaacs hinting at possible revivals. No fresh public appearances or social media posts from Ben-Adir in the past few days, but his name popped in EURweb discussions on UK actors rising stateside, namechecking his Bob Marley: One Love triumph amid debates over transatlantic talent wars. Business-wise, hes listed in Ragtag Cinemas Barbie screening notes from March 18, underscoring his enduring Ken cameo impact, while unconfirmed whispers in Screen Daily point to potential UK shoots for 2026 high-end TV, though details remain speculative without direct confirmation. No major headlines in the last 24 hours, but this Sundance slot could redefine his biographical arc from Bob Marley biopic star to indie darling with mainstream pull.
