In the film, he plays Frank, an inmate whose bid for parole sparks a transformative bond with fellow prisoner Louis, alongside Rob Morgan, Rene Perez Joglar, Rosalind Eleazar, and Indira Varma—marking a potent showcase of his dramatic range that could cement his biographical arc as a go-to for raw, redemptive tales. Screen Daily reports hes currently shooting A Town in Nova Scotia in the UK, directed by Babak Jalali, where he portrays a Liverpool widower torn between staying put and chasing a new life in Canada—a project blending his Nigerian-Canadian roots with themes of displacement that insiders say could rival his breakout intensity in One Night in Miami. No public appearances or verified social media mentions have surfaced in the past few days, though a fluffy piece on explore.st-aug.edu spotlighted his private marriage as the quiet force fueling his rise, quoting confidants on their theater-world meet-cute and shared cultural anchor—purely retrospective gossip with no fresh sightings of his low-key wife. Awards chatter lingers from Through the Silver Screens 97th Oscars predictions, name-checking his past work amid races dominated by Anora and The Brutalist, but nothing current. In the last 24 hours, no major headlines have dropped, keeping the focus on these festival and production beats with real long-term punch for his legacy.
