Biomotional Integrity

from The Joanne Avison Podcast · host Joanne Avison

We are all biomotional creatures - as a distinction that offers us the roundness, the spirality, the chirality and the charism of our natural movements. Biomotional and biomotion are distinct from Biomchanics and Biomechanical; which are the terms we have inherited - and invested in - in the scholarly study of human movement. It is not that one is fiction and one is fact. They are both metaphors to describe how we living, animated beings naturally move. The notion that we are biomechanical is a metaphor that is so deep, we have become spellbound by it. Yet - not one of us is a machine. Go figure!!                                                   Gerald Polak: https://www.pollacklab.org/                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Jaap Van der Wal: https://www.embryo.nl/english-1?sitelang=EN                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Yoga, Fascia, Anatomy and Movement: https://www.joanneavison.com/yfamSIGN UP TO THE JOANNE AVISON NEWSLETTERSimply scroll down to ‘Join Our Collective’ and pop in your details.
