50. Bird Box (2014) by Josh Malerman

When supernatural "somethings" begin to appear around the globe, just the sight of them drives people mad beyond reason leading them to brutally kill themselves and any others within their destructive path. Pregnant from a one-night stand, Mallory loses her sister and parents to the phenomenon and must seek out a new family of sorts. However, when someone gets in that the group thinks won't be that bad, their attempt at survival during this event is greatly impacted. Our horror expert Jason Crockett joins us as we do a brief fun of horror throughout the month of October. We're asking the tough questions. How do we handle the fear of the unknown? What happens when we allow people in that we don't fully trust? Do you really need to identify yourself as American when abroad? We answer these and more in today's episode.Resources for today's episode:Bird Box by Josh MalermanBird Box starring Sandra Bullock (Netflix)Theme song for A Deadman's Books: Surfing! by automaticbananas#booktube #booktok #bookstagram #ReadersofYouTube #Bookish #CurrentlyReading #BookCommunity #BookRecommendations #BookReview #BookLovers #Lit #Literature #horror #creepy #spooky #halloween #horrostory #BirdBox Hosted on Acast.
