Birth Mother Matters in Adoption S2 Ep.167:A National Birth Mother's Day Message National Birth Mother’s Day occurs on the Saturday before Mother’s Day (second Sunday of May) and this year it is May 8, 2021. It’s a day to honor all birth mothers who chose to place their babies for adoption. National Birth Mother’s Day was first founded and celebrated in Seattle, Washington, in 1990, by Mary Jean Wolch-Marsh and a group of other women who placed their baby for adoption.    To all of the birth mothers out there, we honor you!
