Two years after a Catholic parish in his diocese became the first group to welcome a Syrian refugee family to the UK through the Community Sponsorship Scheme, Bishop John Arnold, Bishop of Salford, talks about what Samir and his family have brought to the local area and why we should all be willing to help refugees. In November 2016, the parishioners of St Monica's, Flixton, welcomed the family of five to their community. The family had spent four and a half years in Lebanon after fleeing Syria.
