Winner of Best Picture in 1995, BRAVEHEART (now on Netflix!) changed epic historical filmmaking forever, and remains a near-perfect and highly rewatchable work of art. Despite Mel Gibson’s fall from grace, this is an all-time great performance from him as well as from Brendan Gleeson, Sophie Marceau, Catherine McCormack, and so many others.
