In the dead of night as people sleep, that is when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three dark things take power, we like to call it the supernatural hour. And now... Welcome to the Supernatural Hour.

I'm Raven. I'm Rogue. I'm Chad. And I guess I'm Klaus.

You are Klaus. Welcome Klaus. We're glad to have you back. We're very glad.

Klaus makes us sound really awesome. We like having Klaus here. For the business, we've got some things we've been doing. We're working on our YouTube stuff.

So please go out and subscribe to our YouTube Supernatural Hour podcast and go out and subscribe to that. That would be helpful. We've got TikToks with Advanced.Paranormal. We've got lots of things going on.

In addition, coming up soon, we have the Mercury Cemetery service project that we're working on. That's going to be on May 1st at the Mercury Cemetery at noon. Looking forward to that. We're doing that with Boor.

Plan on coming out to that. We're looking forward to sprucing that up. Was there anything else? No, that's actually what we've got.

Oh, we're working on a very special midnight ghost hunt, witching hour ghost hunt in June. It'll be June 18th. There'll be more information on that coming, but it'll start really, really late and we'll go for it. Oh, let's be honest.

That one's starting really, really early. Roke gets to go to work right after that. Yeah, so this is going to be a meet at two in the morning and we're going to be ghost hunting during the witching hour. It is on the weekend of the 18th.

We haven't done a witching hour investigation in a really long time, so I'm super excited for this. This one is going to be amazing. It's quite an active venue. All right.

Well, let's see investigations. We went back to Salt Lake County, even though it's been a little quiet. We revisited a location we'd previously been to. Right.

We've been doing this as this group for a lot of years since 2012, so we're coming up on 10 years and it never fails. As soon as it starts getting warm enough and people start going outside, they forget that their house makes weird noises and things move and it always gets slow this time of year. Every year it always just slows down, which is fine because it gives us time to catch up on other stuff. But anyway, this investigation was a revisit and it was interesting.

It was a lot of fun. It was an interesting one with this one. We were able to get the casket nails out. Yeah.

We don't do casket nails on investigations very often because we usually don't need to, but this was a little bit more of a hardcore case. This is the one, if you remember a couple investigations back where we thought that we were trying to find out if there was a pipe in the corner of the basement and we were using the thermal camera and getting dark shadows in that corner for no apparent reason. You know, different than the shadows around it. And this is the one where there was the elemental that was kind of blocking my feels.

Remember I said I couldn't feel a case because he was standing on the other side of the elemental. Right. When we do investigations, it's kind of like antibiotics and the endocals resonate with this. When you go in to get an antibiotic, they kind of give you the little one and if that doesn't work, they kick you up to the second level and then if that doesn't work, they kick you up to the third level, right?

It's just an issue. What you worry about coverage, right? You want to do what you think is appropriate coverage at first and then you expand to broad spectrum if needed. Right.

And we don't jump in and do the whole thing because it can make your house smell kind of weird for a while and it takes a lot of time and it's a bit messy. So we usually will do, you know, level one and if that doesn't keep things out, we'll go back and do level two and it's not terribly often. The first thing we do takes care of things. Right.

I was going to say it's not very often we have to go back. But this was a little tougher not to crack. Yeah. This was a very special case with a lot of special circumstances.

Yeah. We went back and did the level two cleansing and put the coffin else in the yard and I have it in our back. So I'm going to take that as a good sign. Right.

No news is good news on this one. Exactly. So outside of that we don't really have anything else going on. But we do have two residential in the works we're just waiting for some dates from the client.

So what area of the valley? Are those? Salt Lake County. Wow.

Yeah. So you talk down these column down a little bit. We're heading back up north. Good.

It's about time. No. Rogue started of driving every time. I didn't say that.

So guess what? I learned something. Uh oh. Oh, okay.

This is something that I knew. I knew this. Everything's together. Okay.

So I love pirates. Pirates are cool. You can take me to Disneyland. Put me on Pirates of the Caribbean for the morning.

Just leave me there. Just like in my own seat with my name on it. You know, maybe a cup holder for a drink. Have someone bring me a churro every once in a while.

I'll be happy until, you know, they close. Just come get me. Maybe I'd hop off every once in a while stretch my legs and run over to the haunted house. But Pirates of the Caribbean.

Love it. I... So I'm just over front. I hit every time I go.

Exactly. It's the best one. I've never been there. Oh, we've got to get you there.

It's the best ride there. Okay. We were like the last people on Pirates of the Caribbean. There were nobody in like four or five boats in front of us.

There was nobody behind us. We're coming up the ramp. They were closing the doors. Doxy's closing the doors.

He's probably 10. No! I was probably six. And yeah, I was worried we were going to be trapped in there with all those pirates.

She's the least. So I have a daughter who's now almost 16. But a few years ago we took her. We had just gotten off Pirates of the Caribbean.

Literally where we were walking off the boat. And we noticed that the line wasn't very long. So I thought we'll hit it again really quick while we're here. She asks me on our way from just getting off to get back on.

This ride isn't scary, is it? The one you just rode? I was like, honestly, you just got off of it. Maybe it changes.

I don't know. So anyway, the thing I learned was when you envision Pirates, you imagine them in the Caribbean. Caribbean. Pirates of the?

Exactly. Or sometimes I might stretch the imagination and put them over in Europe. Somalia? No.

No, cool pirates. They've got Pirates in some form. You know, but like in... Or for like ever.

Right. Mean Pirates. I didn't put together. They hung out on the Atlantic shore of the US.

Blackbeard was in North Carolina for him and I didn't know this. I don't know where I thought he was. He was down in like the Baja oil stuff too, right? Yeah, that's kind of where he did most of the stuff down there.

But he kind of ended up terrorizing the East Coast. Those pirates got around. They did. They did boats.

He went from the West Indies to the Carolinas. So that's getting around. So when I was reading about him, I was like North Carolina. Right.

Exactly. I kind of thought the same thing I didn't really put it with America. Were too innocent to have Pirates here. I don't know.

Pirates just seem so exotic and cool. And I'm sorry. East Coast just doesn't seem. It's like the country of madasses.

We had outlaws out West and Pirates of East Coast. Yes. Exactly. Exactly.

So if you go and Google Blackbeard's Ghost, you're going to get about 17 sites of the 1968 Disney movie. The documentary? It's not the documentary. Pretty sure it was.

Pretty sure it was the documentary. You made us watch it as children. I remember that a few times. So if you're trying to find the story of the actual pirate, you have to type in his name and to the best of their knowledge, his name was Edward Teach.

They had a couple different last names. They're not exactly sure when he was born. They figured it was about the 1680s. Yeah.

There's a variation on that of Edward Fatch. Right. And there's a couple of others because they're not, like you say, they're not positive on that. They didn't know when he died.

He died the 22nd of November, 1718. Because we'll get there. I was going to say. Let's just jump to the end of this whole segment.

Okay. So they kind of figured he was about 40 years old is where I was trying to get with that. It's only lived to be about 40. I think for a pirate that's pretty long.

Yeah. But he was really interesting because I've heard of Blackbeard. You hear of Blackbeard's Ghost. Has anyone in here heard of that before?

I think most people have heard of it. Absolutely. Yeah. That's the first thing I think of too.

It was the movie. It's been ages since I saw that. I think we had to watch it in grade school. See documentary.

That in the song of the South, you know, so whatever. So if you go to North Carolina, the place that he kind of hung out during this two year period right before he died was called, and I'm going to say this very wrong. So if you're from North Carolina and you feel the need to email me and correct me totally cool, it's called the Ocracoke. OCRAC OKE.

Ocracoke Island. Ocracoke Island. They also call it Teach as Hole, which is located in the North Carolina area. In the Pem-Lico Sound, which is just off of Springer's Point.

So if you're familiar with North Carolina, which I am not, there you go. That might be Pem-Lico. And is that? But I'm not sure.

What did I say? Pem-Lico? Probably Pem-Lico. Yeah, Pem-Lico sounds kind of stupid.

And like I said, I don't know. But I've heard the term Pem-Lico before. Is that correct? I think you're watching the documentary.

I think you're right. I think that was in the documentary. Most likely. So this little area, Pem-Lico, not Pem-Lico, is one of his favorite spots.

That's where he really liked Anchorship. It was kind of his favorite hangout. And so they call it, you know, he teaches whole because that's where he liked to hang out. It's also where he met his end.

But again, I don't want to jump to the finale yet. Just get some little teasers. He lived in the Golden Age of piracy. He was actually an English pirate.

And when you guys think of pirates, what do you guys think of any of the pirates? Urgh. Eyepatches. Picklegs.

Books. Parrots. Right. So you just think of the bad guy.

And really, at this time, being a pirate was almost more lucrative and responsible than being in the army. And so there was a lot of times in the army you were compelled to be in the army where you could choose to be a pirate. Yeah. The pirates were interesting because the different governments would have people and they called them privateers or pirateiers.

And they were actually commissioned by different crowns of Europe to attack the shipping and commerce of the other nations. And so oftentimes, yeah, they were doing it on their own, but they were doing it with literally a license from a government like France or England. And not all the time, because sometimes these pirates then said, hey, you know, it's great to take all this stuff from France, but hey, we can take it from Spain and England and anybody we want. And so they found some evidence that shows that he was a local landowner son in England.

His pillaging was more about economic survival in a British controlled colony rather than mayhem and murder. You know, it's not we're going to go out and pillage and kill and rape it was we need to survive. You know, and this is going to be our job. Right.

When I was reading, I read that he hadn't really killed anyone until that final battle. Right. That's one of the major things in almost every website that you read was he was he liked to control with fear, but he didn't necessarily kill many people. Right.

He just wanted to be intimidating. Right. He just walked the body parts off and feed him to the fish and stuff, even with the sharks, but he never actually really killed many people until the very, very end. So this is what he liked to do though.

This is pretty awesome. So he's like your quintessential. I think this is who they just romanticized pirates from. He often fought or just simply showed him something.

I'm not even fat, but just, you know, walked out, think, think Johnny Depp and walking in this big entrance. He wore a big feathered tricorn hat. He had multiple swords, knives, pistols, you know, strapped all over him. It was reported that he had he would take hemp and lighted matches woven into his beer.

I mean, black beard, you know, this huge, huge big black beard. People would say that when they saw him, he would light that on fire. So his beard would just be like flame. I was afraid that your beard would catch on fire, but a lot of people said that he looked like the devil.

And so he was more fear than, oh my gosh, he's going to kill us. When you said to picture Johnny Depp, I was thinking Edward's sister hands. Wrong movie. Wrong documentary.

Yeah, but they said, you know, he just had to really fear some face and the smoke cloud around his head. And he's just like the premier image of a seafaring pirate. Now, when you say like fire on the face, I think of ghost writer Nicholas Cage, except the way around in the flame head, he's got a flamey beard. So he works his hands with a beard, but on fire.

But on fire. Black beard. Boom, nailed it. That would be scary.

One of the interesting things that I was reading about pirates. Do you know who Mike Leach is? Football coach. Football coach.

He is obsessed with pirates. And one of the things he talked about, they asked him why he's been so obsessed with pirates. He said, well, if you think about it, it's probably the most democratic group of people that ever existed. You know, he said they didn't really care about rage, race, any of that kind of stuff.

They picked a leader. And they threw him overboard and picked somebody else. Right. And if you didn't like them, they could step down or they could be thrown overboard.

And they were very accepting because one of the things, you know, they wouldn't just, if they don't steal money and close and fabrics and stuff, they're not making any money, but they also would free slaves. The pirates would go and one of their main targets were ships that were carrying him in cargo and it was three of those slaves. Yeah, and some of them could be pirates. Right.

And in fact, black beards number two, his name was black Caesar and he was a former slave that had been freed. And he was second commanded the ship. So yeah, they were very democratic. It was such an interesting thing.

And especially that time, 1700s, right? Or even before the special was done by social class and where you were in society at the time. And this is one of those situations where you achieved by merit. It was American talker.

So you got on the boat, you started doing stuff and if the people wanted you to lead, you led. I mean, that was just how it was. And they divided up the loop pretty equitably also, right? And if you worked hard and carried your weight, you know, you did well.

And if you were lazy, they threw overboard. They'd be done with you. Seems like a lot of cotage. Separants.

Yeah. Most of the countries sounds like throw you overboard. You know, hey, you don't like what you're doing. Throw you overboard.

Pretty easy. Like what you're eating, and you overboard. Yeah. No, we're all starting to go in the ocean.

So he did one other thing that was pretty scary. It says that he would take his flag in a rum and light it on fire and drink it as he was, you know, walking to the other ship. Oh. And it said that most of the other captains of the ships that they were trying to take over would just be like, we give up your scary.

Yeah. Flaming, gear, drinking, fire. We're all in. We're good.

Well, I are breathing. And he had a reputation for not killing the people too. Right. So it's like, okay, I'll give you up my cargo because I'm going to save my life and my crew's life.

Right. If you comply, you will not be killed. Right. If you don't comply, you will not die.

You will not die. You will not die. If you don't fit, you must go quit. Now on, everything has to rhyme.

Next time we're doing lyrics. Pooh. Oh boy. I coo, maybe after that.

We're just going to have like a literature theme, a poetry theme. It was a, this episode brought to you by lyrics. Welcome to the literature hour. Well, that works for me.

So he was pretty smart. You know, he was pretty sneaky. There was a, in the area where he was, they would have watchers that would watch for ships that were coming in that they could go out and loot. And there was just this narrow, narrow, little inlet that they could sneak up and down really slick.

He'd be hanging out at, you know, some pub. And his watchers would come and say, hey, hey, there's a couple of ships coming. And they'd, you know, he and his crew would go sprint out to their, to their boat or ship. So ship.

Hop out to their ship. Go down this narrow little inlet that was, that no one knew about apparently, only them. And they could just sneak in and out really quick. And he usually would attack in the dim light of dawn or dusk where it was harder for his ship to see.

And then he would sail under the flag of a country that was friendly to the nationality of the ship that he was attacking until just the last minute and then he'd switch flags up. And his flag was kind of cool. It was like not just the skull and crossbones. It was like a skeleton on a black field.

White skeleton. White skeleton on a black field. And then it had like an arrow and a heart, a red heart on it. That was, that was his pirate flag.

And it was unique to him. I'm still thinking he's only attacking at like dusk and dawn because he's worried people are going to see his flaming beard. It's like, oh, we can't go midday. They won't see it.

We're not going to get the effect. No, yeah, yeah. The flaming beard at noon is probably going to be a little astromatic. Just to say, okay, see it now.

It's just smoldering. I see the smolder. Show us the smolder. I do think it's a, you know, that idea of not killing people really probably worked to his advantage though because he would think if people thought they had nothing else to do, right?

To live where they're going to fight to the death, right? If they think there's no chance that they're going to be, you know, they're going to escape their lives or going to fight like hell or if they go, hey, if we just give up, maybe we walk away from this. Right. And the effective.

A lot of people that have kind of studied him and studied pirate say they believe that the show that he put on, you know, with the massive arsenal, you know, all over his body and the big flamboyant clothes and things, you know, smoldering and lighting on fire was deliberate to avoid fighting. And you know, I did say that he cut off pieces of bodies, which is not awesome, but. Yeah, but the show of strength. I mean, you know, it's, it's that idea of, you know, Teddy Roosevelt speaks softly and carry a big stick.

I mean, he had the swagger and he had the thing and people respected that and after that, you don't have to do much. Right. It's like, he's like, he understood that if you had the reputation of being a blood 30 thirsty murderer, you could actually save the trouble of actually being a blood thirsty murderer. Yeah.

And his ship, the Queen Anne's Revenge, he'd got, and then they put like 40 cannon on it. You know, I mean, it was, it was one of the best armed ships in whole, you know, Atlantic at the time. They commandeered a number of these ships when they do this, you know, the captains would acquiesce and, you know, and surrender. And then he built literally a fleet of pirate ships.

You know, he was a Commodore because he had multiple ships under his command. And he was kind of a badass. I kind of liked his attitude. There's a legend that said, if he had too much drink, he would say to a screw, come, let us make a hell of our own and try how long we can bear it.

But they would go into a ship's hole. They'd close the hatches. They would fill pots with brimstone and set it on fire. And they'd be down there.

And, you know, pretty soon the men would be coughing and hacking and, you know, you know, gasping for air. Very dangerous pirate sauna. And everybody would scramble to the top because, you know, they're all dying except for Blackbeard. And then when he would stay down there longer than everybody else, when he finally emerged, he would come up and he would say, damn ye, yellow bellies, it's blacked out.

So I'm imagining he's something else. So I'm a better man than all ye milksops put together. So I mean, he didn't put up with people being, you know, milksops. Just the last thing you want to be.

So yeah, if you were with him, you were tough because he wanted that persona of we're tough. We're ruthless. Now, if anyone actually stayed down there longer than Blackbeard, what would have Black beard done? Like, that's why one else.

He would have died from carbononox. Probably would have let your beard on fire. And they'd be down there for hours. What's going on?

Oh, but you're going to dead bodies. Oh, what happened? You know, he did really care for his men. There's a story that says the man under his command really needed some medicine.

And no one wanted to give it to him, you know, because he's this big bad pirate. So he he blockaded Charleston's harbor and you know, put them under siege and said, all the things are medicine. You're not getting anything. And he actually held some people hostage.

He held a councilman and a young son hostage until the medicine chest was delivered. You know, he went about it in kind of an interesting way, but he cared about the people that he he led and wanted to make sure they were taken care of interesting character. I mean, even his ship, the Queen Anne's Revenge. You guys know how that origin, the name of that ship originated?

No. So Queen Anne was the Queen of England and she got displaced by a different ruler. And I guess there was a group called the Jacobites that were pretty intent on reinstating Queen Anne and Blackbeard sided with them. And in her honor, decided to name his ship after Queen Anne, the Queen Anne's Revenge.

So she would be the Scottish Queen with the Jacobites? Queen Anne? No, she was English wasn't she? That was Queen Mary.

Or Queen Mary of Scots. She's an ally with the Jacobites. The only reason why I know about the Jacobites is I've been watching the Outlander series and they talk about that a lot. So is it Queen Anne?

I don't know if it's Queen Anne, but just the Jack of the Bites. The Jacobites. The Jack of the Bites would have been to the Scottish families, right? I'll tell you.

Just any Queen. Well, I can say that they have found it. Did you know that? I've heard that they find it like 1996 or something.

Well, I don't have the exact date. We'll tell them this about it. There you go. Anne was Queen of England, Scotland and Ireland between 8th of March 1702 and 1st of May 1707.

We were all right. Thank you. All the things, guys. So archaeologists and historians have been working on recovering and restoring artifacts from the sunken ship, captained by the notorious pirate, and we're discovering fascinating details of what life was like on the 18th century pirate ship.

See, that would be interesting. So I know if you go to the little town, I think the town is called Bath. There's a museum there that I have to go to now. And that is in North Carolina.

It's in North Carolina and they actually have some artifacts that they pulled off that ship. So new to the bucket list. Yeah. We have to head to North Carolina.

Yep, to see, to see Blackbeard stuff. So, you know, we talked a little bit about how they would free the slaves. Many of the slaves would become members of the crew. Yeah, because they had a new slave ship.

Right. Need somebody to pirate it. Yep. We got people from North Carolina.

But Blackbeard, even though he was fierce and scary looking and you know, had this reputation of being, you know, just gruesome and fearsome, he was a lover. You tell? He was a ladies man. So apparently he took about a dozen wives and he was very doting on them, cared for them very much, until someone knew kind of size.

So if you were one of his wives, you weren't very long. And then what he just threw over on the side of the ship? I don't know, but he did say like his last wife that he took was 16. And this was a long time ago.

16 wasn't that old back then. It's not the age that young. That young. So much.

I mean, goes back then you did marry younger, could you not live as long? But he would have his honeymoon night with her, right? And then he would share her. Amongst the crew.

Amongst the crew. Very Democrat. So, you know, we talk about this. That's polite.

So I mean, he did, he did, he did, from everything I read, he genuinely cared about his wives. He just didn't seem to have an issue sharing. Oh. You know, and then he just didn't stay with them very long.

Oh, he knew this one's cute or younger, whatever, you know. Oh. But he did treat them well with a few weird exceptions. In the three weeks, for the day or two.

Yeah. But I mean, he would buy them fancy clothes and leave them, leave them at port and they're like, Oh, no, the boat took off. Sorry. Bye previous wife.

Good thing Tinder didn't exist back then. So actually he actually married, I don't know if it's a 16 year old or if it was someone else because he had, I read anywhere from 10 to like 14 different wives, but he finally decided him and I get married, I'm going to settle down. I'm going to retire from piracy, you know, quit while I'm ahead and quit while I'm at top of the game. Quit while I'm alive.

Or I said. Oh, ooh. Or should I go? Maybe that's where that came from.

And so, you know, he did, he got married and he was getting already to settle down, but his friends came and they were in Virginia and they had a big Rokas party to the point that the Virginians complained and they, these friends of Blackbeard, convincing to come back pirating for a while. So there's this big Rokas party, they're complaining about this party and they complain to the governor. And so the governor sends someone to go shut them up. Oh, I read about that.

What did you read? Really? There you go. Hold on.

Let me get my glasses and I'll tell you what I read. I didn't even know sound ordinances exist back then. Well, I'm thinking Maynard. I'm thinking Maynard.

Must have been pretty Rokas to complain to the governor. I mean, I've had some noisy neighbor issues here and there, but I've never called up, you know, Salt Lake and said, excuse me. I need the governor to come and dress this immediately. That's like the ultimate care in the right.

Can you come and kill my neighbors because they're too loud. I don't want to talk to the manager. I don't know. Maybe I would be talking to the governor if it was Blackbeard.

I was complaining about them. Our neighbors aren't Blackbeard. Our neighbors don't like their beards on fire. All right.

So I found Blackbeard's rain on the high seas came to the end. Do you want me to start there? Yep. I found 1718 for Junior Governor Alexander Spottswood.

Sent as ship commanded by John Maynard down to North Carolina's coast to track down and kill Blackbeard. Maynard surprised Blackbeard and the skeleton crew anchored at Teach's Hole. In the ferocious battle that followed, Blackbeard was shot five times and stabbed no less than 20 times. The pirate's crew was killed and captured.

Yeah, and he was pretty sneaky about it, actually, the governor. They sent most of the men below the deck and then kind of acted as bait. Like, oh, dude, dude, dude, here we are. We sure hope that pirate doesn't take us over.

Because we don't have very many people on the ship. And then bam. And then when Blackbeard was like, oh, hey, this is awesome. Yeah.

And then after all of that, they beheaded him. Yeah, it's kind of like he's dead. I want to make really sure he's dead. Oh, yeah.

Well, hung him as a trophy and put him on his own ship. Yeah, hung his head on the, they call it. I remember the most. It was called a bow.

It's a word I couldn't say. So I was going to let you go for it. I lost for it. I wrote it down.

They threw his body overhead on the bow spirit. Yes. The bow spirit, which is kind of a friend of the manate ship. And the headless body was thrown overboard.

And so legend has it that that headless body swam around meaner ship three times before sinking below the waters. And I read everywhere between twice and seven times. But I think I saw three times most. Kind of like a chicken with your head cut off.

Just keep going. Just keep swam around. And so if that really happened, that would be creepy. That would be funny.

It might have just been floating until finally it just like, that's probably what I actually would have. I don't know that it was actually like, you know, it's going to be a breaststroke or anything. Well, this said that it was actually swimming, not just gloopy. Butterflies.

You've got to get around this ship three more times. We got this. It's float. I've got a goal, man.

My person will not work unless I swim around this boat three times. Say that I wonder if the moon comes out. You know, can you see through him? Like you can on the movie.

Partly curvy. That documentary. The Johnnie Deb version. It's stealing Aztec gold.

So. OK, yeah, we're out. I've missed out on these documentaries. I haven't seen any of them.

I was actually going to rewatch Blackbeard's ghost before we did this. But it's tax time. It's tax time. Let's not talk about that.

OK, moving on. So Blackbeard's ghost. So we've got him dead now, right? He did.

So what people say. There's a whole lot of things that people say. There are those that believe on stormy nights you can hear Blackbeard's ghost calling out in the wind. And if the nights are angry and the wind is roaring and the rain's coming down hard, many people say they've heard a horrible roaring coming from the hidden cove.

And they say it's an unearthly noise that sounds like a paint human voice bellowing where's my head? Yeah. Pain and the same thing. I don't even know what that would sound like.

I'm trying to figure out how his decapitated body is speaking. It's a ghost body. I'm just saying. Where's my head?

Well, you just fall to the sound of your head. Where's my head? I'm like, oh, fuck. Well, he can swim around the boat when he's dead.

So apparently you got a lot of things when you're dead. We weren't sure if you could have ghost children. We talked about that in a previous episode. I missed that one.

Oh, you would have had fun with that one. You would have had fun with that one. So there's another thing that they say many people have claimed seeing a strange light moving beneath the water in the cove. And they think it's Blackbeard's spirit swimming through the water, swimming around the boat again.

Searching for his own head. He's really ticked off about his head, apparently. I think I would be. If someone caught my head.

I would be a little offended. I'd be a little hurt or head hurt. Where's my head? Is that a pain billowy voice?

I don't know. It was definitely a painful voice. Mine's pretty painful. Mine's definitely a gleaming.

So great. But they call it teachers light. So that's a thing. So one of my favorite others say that they see his ghost rise out of the water holding a lantern and then he walks along shore leaving no footprints.

I guess what he's doing? Looking for his head. You got it. I don't know how you got that.

Just a shot of the dorks. So somewhere he's supposed to have some buried lost treasure. I think I'll go look for the treasure because your head's gone. It's got to be in teachers hole, right?

Probably. Sounds logical. Maybe he needs his head before he can get the treasure. If he can talk without his head, I think he's good without it.

He should just move on. He's just like start working as an accountant or something. Yes, it stacks time. Look at him go stand out.

He can't find his head. See, there's a headless horse. But his horse can see. That just brings up so many questions.

I know I'm a horrible person. Well, in spirit though, you're supposed to be at your best. So I would think you'd have your head back. So it's the spirit talking.

Is that his best though? I'm pretty sure it's better. It's better. It's better.

It's better. Nor being stabbed 20 times and shot five times. It's the best part of him because he had to be the only one that transcended and is gone. The question remains.

If you could find Black Gear Skull, wherever that may be, you would probably be a very rich person. Maybe. It's probably on the ocean somewhere. Maybe.

They do call the North Carolina area the graveyard of the Atlantic. So it's with all the ships, pirates ships and stuff. Shipwrecks and things. It's probably there.

We should close hurricanes, blow through and wipe those ships out. And the pirates. So I have to probably bury it in like 20 feet of silks and stuff. So when I was doing some research, I came across a really very bizarre story that.

Oh, we're at Rube Bazaar. Are we ready for a bizarre story? Yes. Okay.

Woman who married a 300 year old pirate ghost announces that their marriage is over. Okay. You know what? We talked about them getting married on a podcast a couple of years ago.

So they're done. They're ending things. They are done. And this is People.com.

So this is real. It's not the weekly world news. It's for circulating newspapers in the world. I tell you.

Yep. She says that, you know, relationships are tough and she just couldn't go on with it. So I don't know how much you spoke about in a previous podcast. I wasn't here.

Give us the details because it's been a long time. I've never heard the story. I'm dying over here. This is my relationship with her.

This is my relationship with her. Especially when they cross both space and time. We thought just long distance relationships were difficult. I know, right?

Space and time. Earlier this year, Amanda Teague, a 45 year old Jack Sparrow impersonator from Northern Ireland, led a 300 year old pirate ghost named Jack. It has seems that their unlikely union has come to an end. So per her.

So I feel it's time to let everyone know that my marriage is over. The mother of five wrote according to Irish Mirror. I will explain all in due course. But for now, I want to say.

The mother of five? That's interesting. It must have been from a previous relationship. A previous marriage would have to be.

Do they already make a movie about this? Isn't it called Ghost? I don't know. Any more?

Hi, Rit, though. It's only the relationship between, you know, living and dead. We just remake it in the 1700s. We replace Patrick Swayze with Johnny Depp.

Boom. Edward Scissorane. John Depp. Well, what, Rogue?

Okay. Let's see here. So she starts, I will explain all in due course. But for now, I want to say it's very, to be very careful when dabbling in spirituality.

It's not something to mess with. So the couple wed in a private ceremony on a boat in the international waters off of Ireland, where the marriage would be legal. I'll say that's probably the only place that you could imagine a marriage to a ghost being legal. The person conducting the ceremony.

So it's my question. So, Teague hired a medium for the ceremony. True. So the medium for the ceremony.

So Jack could say I do. So Jack was able to talk through her, making the Union official on paper. And since Jack couldn't put a ring, Teague held a candle and the ring was placed on the candle, which was the symbolism. Teague previously had told people that their love story began in 2014 after the ghost of the Haitian man visited her while she was lying in bed.

She soon learned that he was Jack in 18th century pirate who had left at the, who was left at the altar once before and was ultimately executed for thievery. He's being left again. This is tragic. Oh, yes.

As she interacted with the entity over the course of several months, Teague claimed she began to develop feelings for him. This was about six months of communication. So I finally accepted it. Obviously we had spent a lot of time together.

All right. Let's just get to it. They had sex. And I, after reading the story, cannot tell you how that happened.

But she felt that after they had had in her course that it was only best that she wed that man. So that's... I wanted to know the reasons for the divorce. He didn't help with the dishes.
