Black Crime in USA

Is it appropriate to bring up statistics during a political argument to deflect attention from the president and his supporters who are using talking points to demonize blacks of this country? Blacks make up 13% of the population and do 30% of crime white people are 70% of the population and do 70% of the crime tell me why there are some making it seem like blacks are vicious elements to society when in fact black are disproportionately impacted from wrongful arrests as well as recipients of the most exonerations.
