E-commerce in Ecuador is gearing up for a boom in online sales during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with the Chamber of Commerce of Guayaquil forecasting strong growth. Today, one out of every two adults buys online, pushing companies to improve their platforms and digital shopping experiences. But the surge also brings risks: experts warn about fraud, fake stores and phishing attacks, now boosted by Artificial Intelligence, which makes scams look increasingly real.
