BLACK HISTORY MAKERS AT THE WELL!

from The Well After Hours - Host Beverly D. Allen · host Beverly D. Allen Ministries, LLC

BLACK HISTORY MAKERS AT THE WELL! REV. LESLIE MARIE WILSON - Director, African American Religious Affairs - People For The Ammerican Way The month of February is designated as Black History Month, created to focus attention on the contributions of African Americans to the United States. It honors all Black people from periods of U.S. history, from the enslaved people-first brought over from Africa in the early 17th century to African Americans living in the United States today. THE WELL AFTER HOURS has been honored to have conversations with a few history makers living in the U.S. today. While a history maker does not need to be famous and are like you and those around you who speak up to help shape the world around them, these men and women are known for the work they do and the service they tirelessly give to their communities, the Black Church at large, African Americans, and the world. The Well will highlight several conversations for the month of February. #africanamericanstudies #votingrights ##justice #theblackvote #votersrights #voters #slaveryandhistory #slavery #thepresidency #evangelicals #christianity #christianvoters
