Celebrate Valentine’s Day and Black History Month with Dr. Janae Bonsu-Love and VanKe’via as they discuss Black women’s pathways health and self-care in reentry. Dr. Bonsu-Love highlighted the health challenges/needs of Black women post incarceration and how Black women care for themselves during reentry. Dr. Bonsu-Love is the director of research and advocacy of the National Black Women’s Justice Institute (NBWJI). Dr. Bonsu-Love comes to NBWJI as an activist-scholar, policy advocate, and Licensed Master Social Worker committed to ending criminalization while supporting the healing of Black women, girls and nonbinary people.
