Black Lives Matter

from Connected · host MS JY

We mourn the lost lives of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and the endless list of Black Lives that have been lost due to police brutality and racism. These losses are unfortunately nothing new; violence and systemic racism against the Black community has been occuring since this country's birth [U.S.A]. We do not feel that we are the appropriate people or that this is the appropriate time for us to take this space. We want to uplift black lives and black voices. We made this episode to be sure that we are NOT silent on our stance. WE STAND WITH BLACK LIVES AND THE BLACK LIVES MATER MOVEMENT. We hope you do too. If you do, we encourage you to take action and understand that sometimes it is hard to know where to start or how to contribute. Here is a link to how you can educate yourself, get involved, and make contributions towards the Black Lives Matter movement. https://linktr.ee/msjyconnected
