Blade Runner

from Sundays @ the Station · host Tuned In

We are back at it again with sci-fi month for the final cut of Blade Runner (1982). We watched the full film and podcasted immediately after, so you can expect ZERO mistakes on our part (yeah, right). We discuss the plot and characters of the film, and focus more heavily on the deeper visual poetry which this movie is truly known for. Blade Runner tells the story of a Rick Deckard (played by Harrison Ford) who is an officer tasked with the duty of killing a group of dangerous "replicants," which are man-made artificial humans, who are on a revenge mission for serving as slaves to humans. Along the way, Deckard befriends a particularly convincing replicant named Rachel.
