Blade Runner (1982)

Blade Runner follows former blade runner Rick Deckard, who is forced out of retirement in a bleak future Los Angeles to hunt down four rogue replicants—bioengineered humans who have returned to Earth searching for a way to extend their short lifespans. As Deckard tracks them, especially their leader Roy Batty, he becomes entangled with Rachael, a replicant who believes she is human. What begins as a manhunt turns into a deeper meditation on memory, mortality, and what it really means to be human.
