Blade Runner 2049 (2017)

This week on We Interrupt This Movie, the lads return to the rain-soaked, neon-drenched world of Blade Runner with Denis Villeneuve’s stunning 2017 sequel, Blade Runner 2049. Ryan Gosling stars as K, a blade runner whose latest assignment uncovers a long-buried secret that could change everything humans and replicants thought they knew about themselves—and eventually leads him to a very grumpy Harrison Ford hiding out in Las Vegas. We dig into Roger Deakins’ extraordinary cinematography, Hans Zimmer and Benjamin Wallfisch’s thunderous score, the film’s themes of memory, identity and what it means to be human, and the nearly impossible task of following one of the most influential science-fiction films ever made. Hosted by Tage Sickler and Steve Teasdale. Theme song composed and performed by S.T.
