Set 50 years in the future from the prequel (re;eased 35 years prior), our hero Kay, is a bladerunner on the brink of a world changing revelation about his past, and the childhood he never knew was possible. Coming just 1 year after the amazing alien invasion film, Arrival, Denis Villeneuve was able to crank the spectacle of the original to 11, and tell a meaningful story that stands on its own in this movie, but even more if you are familiar with the original.
