Blankman (1994) Throwback Review | UNDERRATED Superhero Comedy

Before the MCU, before the modern DC Comics movie universe, and long before superhero movies dominated Hollywood… there was Blankman (1994). In this episode of the SuperHero Homies Throwback Series, we revisit the cult 90s superhero comedy Blankman, starring Damon Wayans and David Alan Grier, to see whether this forgotten comic book-style movie still holds up today. Our Throwback episodes celebrate movies that are 25+ years old, revisiting them with humor, nostalgia, and a modern pop culture perspective. This time, opinions among the Homies are split. Two of us absolutely loved revisiting this hilarious 90s comedy superhero movie, while the other two weren’t quite as convinced. Either way, the conversation is full of laughs and deep dives into what makes this film such a unique part of superhero movie history.
