In Südtirol gibt es über 200 Musikkapellen mit rund 10.000 Musikantinnen und Musikanten. Die meisten Kapellen geben ihr Jahreshauptkonzert im November zu Cäcilia oder zu Ostern, andere im Frühjahr, einige zu Neujahr und zu Dreikönig. Die Stadtkapelle Bozen gibt hingegen ihr Festkonzert immer am letzten Samstag im Jänner. Und dieser Bozner Kapelle, die von Hans Finatzer geleitet wird, ist auch unsere Blasmusiksendung gewidmet.
