Blast

from Poetry by Tim Windisch · host Tim Windisch

Blast The best days may have already passed, nice guys usually end up finishing last Sitting home making plans for days that come and go while everyone’s having a blast He could throw in the towel, but he’s done that before, so many piled up you can’t see the floor One day the mold will crack, bright sky instead of black and he won’t be alone again anymore Keep quiet, think about that as you release the steam, poured in with the rest but you rise up like cream To the top with that angel in tow, just like you see when you go to bed at night and dream Don’t let anyone tell you it’s too late the die is cast, these years in our lives it’s true fly by so fast But love in the end we will laugh, dance, and embrace each day of our lives together having a blast Blast away those tears Blast away your fears Blast the distance Blast the resistance Hold me tight, every night Blast Tim Windisch 04/30/2023
