CREDITS INCLUDE Cut To The Chase (2016) 6 Month Rule (2011) Favor (2013) QUOTABLE TAKE-AWAYS "So much of art is just about doing it. Giving it a try. Putting something together. Putting something into the world that you believe in. That is something that you want to say. [...] Now--2 seconds later--I'm smarter than I was 2 seconds ago and so I want to fix this, and I want to do this better next time, and I need to bring on this person who's great at this, [etc.] You just keep building on yourself." "The hardest part of the whole thing is just that whole staying in front of people all the time, which is so key and is always underestimated." "There's no set path [...] All you can do is tell people to be prepared." "People will always tell you not to do it. Always. No matter what aspect it is. 'No' is way easier to say than 'Go for it!'" "My belief as a director is that my actors--but also my crew--do the best work that they're capable of when they're not nervous, when they're comfortable, when they feel like they're at home." "We can do so much right now with so little. It's really exciting."
