Blaze Alexander Hit by Pitch | Kansas City Royals News

Baltimore’s Blaze Alexander got hit by a pitch from Royals’ Lucas Erceg in the 7th inning, sparking a benches-clearing brawl after Erceg just gave up a homer. Royals manager Vinnie Pasquantino insisted it wasn’t intentional, but Alexander, who’s been on fire this season, took to social media saying the prior quick pitches felt like they were setting him up — and now he’s sidelined with a fractured hand. The injury is a major blow for the Orioles, who’ve leaned on his .312 average, 4 homers, and 29 RBIs. With tensions already high, this incident could ignite even more rivalry between the two clubs.
